Moon Jar Stone Table Lamp

The Moon Jar Table Lamp is inspired by 18th-century Korean porcelain moon glass in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City—named for its gently curved shape and milky white color. Popular during the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910) in the 18th and 19th centuries, moon jars were typically made in two pieces and then hand-assembled. The moon jar that inspired the lamp has turned a light peach color in some places as part of the firing process. These imperfections are reminiscent of the beauty of nature.
